1997+ in Australia (Sportage model not introduced until January 1997). Update: confirmed - plate WTF128 returns: 1997 Sportage (automatic). -- Last edit: 2020-02-24 08:08:56 |

Yeah, and like I said: 1994-95. In 1997 it would've had this grille. |

Google results for the Australian market: 1997 Link to "www.google.co.jp" 1998 Link to "www.google.co.jp" 1999 Link to "www.google.co.jp" One is listed as 1996 at: http://www.astraded.com.au/listing/kia-sportage-4x4-1996-5-speed-cheap/ but the license plate on myrta.com says it is a 2000 so probably a mistake. -- Last edit: 2014-01-02 01:36:28 |

kegare is correct. Besides, it can't be a 1994-1995 because the Sportage didn't go on sale in Australia until very late 1996/early 97. -- Last edit: 2014-01-02 04:26:20 |

I guess only some versions received the grille in my link, but the lower spec ones had this type of grille until 1998 then. It could also be that this facelifted grille was only for the KDM. You win this time, but I wouldn't trust the year of official introduction above the year of actual manufacture, as demonstrated on the page of the Ford Transit, it may turn out to be erroneous in the end. -- Last edit: 2014-01-02 14:20:40 |
