MY1962-63 1200 'Boble' (Actually, back then it was even known just as 'Folkevogn' (Norwegian for Volkswagen). If you drove a 'Folkevogn' and it was not the 'Buss' then everybody knew what car it was.) |

I've read that those that were sceptical to the Typ 1 in the immediate post-war years gave it the nickname "Hitler-Trille" (Hitler Buggy). |
