It is a 1964, but why not an Eldorado? The DeVille had rear fender skirts and side moldings halfways up the sides. the Eldo had no spats and no side molding - like the car here.

Right enough, Junkman, but this car is definitely a DeVille ["V" and crest on front of hood]. The usual side "spear" molding has been removed and you can tell from the rear wheel opening that the skirts have simply been taken off a regular "DeVille" convertible. Both modifications probably were done to make the car look like an Eldorado. Look at the stainless steel sill moldings and the different curvature of the rear wheel opening on a genuine Eldorado model of that year:

Same one that was used in 48 hrs, or at least looks just like it, even has the same spot of primer on the door.

a DeVille has a "V" under the caddy crest on the hood. the Eldorado has the round leaf design around the crest. Also Eldorados don't have rear fender skirts they have open wheel wells.

Would it be possible to make a capture similar to the current main pic? (For replacement purposes I prefer the closeup front shot, but think a version of the current main should be in a comment at least, in order to show the full profile of the car for reference purposes)
