Not enough headlights for an S3, which IIRC had quads. The S2 was made up to 1962 so are you sure it has a suffix plate? |

Too excited after overdosing on Hillmans today - agree single lights, so can't be S3 = 55 S1 or 59 S2. But I still think it's got the 7 digits of a suffix plate - xxY 34xB if I was being really adventurous - so not its original plate. |

It seems to me too blurred to be sure. AFAIK if it's an S1 or S2 it couldn't possibly have a seven-digit number as the number cannot be younger than the car; if re-registered it would carry a so-called age-related number. |

I'll switch it to 55 S1 - more likely for a plate which has letters first if it is 6 digit. |
