The styling is circa 1937-ish and looks American but it does not look like any American car I can think of. Might it be an early Toyota?? Don't know anything of the early Korean car building efforts. |

South Korea didn't yet have a car industry. The buses in this film might have local bodywork, but that's it. |

Yes, though they did in fact have a (very small) car industry at the time of the movie. The Gukje Shibal, based mainly on old Jeep leftovers from the war, was introduced in late 1955 and entered serial production shortly thereafter, but that's the only example. |

rear fender really looks a litle bit strange, intuitiv i aggree with nzcarnerd, that it is no "professionelly made" US car and it copies british styling as well! car in front the same. It has the looks in general of very first TOYOTA AA, but no identical detail either Link to "japanesenostalgiccar.com" often compared with Chrysler Airflow Link to "forum.ih8mud.com" -- Last edit: 2012-06-28 01:35:17 |

Could it be a Nissan 70 based on the Graham Crusader?? |

No. Has many things different, e.g. wheelarches and rear bumper. |

A bit of lateral thinking; I wonder if this is something with a Holden body on it. Check out the these pictures - Link to "www.gumtree.com.au" - the rear view is very similar to our car here. Can't be sure what the base car is though. All of the bigger late 1930s GM cars I have seen with Holden bodies have two piece rear windows. -- Last edit: 2012-06-29 23:29:02 |

Nissan Model 70 is the nearest. Further away a Holden is visible. -- Last edit: 2012-06-30 11:49:30 |
