Not that unbelievable. Car-based ambulances are usually a lot faster and more manoeuvrable than most pickup-based and van-based ambulances. It's also spacious enough to excel at its alloted duties. It's also a Volvo, reputed for making state-of-the-art safe cars. I imagine that it could even be safer than most other ambulances. |

^ It must appear strange to an US citizen, though, so I can see where Ddey65 is coming from. The final commercially built car-based high headroom ambulance in the US closed this long era in February 1980 - it was a Superior Cadillac. A 1993 Fleetwood S&S Ambulance prototype exists, but I'm not even sure if it ever went into service. |
