Oh, yes. Now I'm enlightened. Too bad, that 1986 isn't first possible model year, and in year 2011 Nivas with 2106 taillights almost disappeared. |

Here we have 1986+ because black grill without silver trim. The side mirrors can distinguish Niva model year also. However in 1990s and 2000s VAZ used wide variety mirrors for 2106 and 2121 (at least 3-4 types simultaneously!) Hard to determine which type <-> which year. I tried but gave up. |

I have strong impression, that it had "4x4" badge, which replace red reflector in 90s. Also, we had at least one 90s Niva in foreign land. /vehicle_5482-Lada-Niva-21213-1994.html |

UK details: 1570cc ordinary Nivas until 93, with headlamp washers as here after 83 and Cossack option pack from 86. July 93 bull bars, alloys, extra lights etc on both versions. Oct 95 new 1690cc models in enhanced Cossack and Hussar trim - lots of bells, funnels and whistles - no plain version any more. Sold at least into 97, but I don't have an end date. |

AFAIK, Lada UK ceased car selling in 1998. |

^ makes sense - my info restarts late 99 with no trace of UK Lada. |

It seems they sold last spare parts and turn off the light. |
