Mayfair, with its light 10' alloys |

Mayfair name used from Oct 82, which would make it Mk4 [ADO20]; this one has tints which came in on preceding Mini HL from Oct 80. I can live with this being 83+ Mayfair, but the wheels and arch extensions make me think 75+ Mini Special 1100 (EU edition, a couple of years before UK) - does the hint here of a darker roof look like the Special's vinyl?? |

You are right. Why not a oct 1983+ Sprite? http://aebergon.perso.neuf.fr/Austin_Mini/page_Austin_Mini_Sprite.htm |

No Sprite side tapes, though wheels/arches look good. Also the Sprite link only mentions yellow, red, grey (which was not used on UK version) colours and nothing about tints. I am uneasy about the black bumpers for 1100 Special or Mayfair ideas, so this may be a special edition, possibly export version. Or perhaps I'm trying to be too complicated and it's just an ordinary 1981 Mini 1000 HL MkIV as /vehicle.php?id=502378 ?? |
