An anecdote about an Aerox: A friend of mine had a Honda MT50. He asked me if I could help him change the cylinder and piston for bigger tuning dittos. "Sure, no problem!" I had never done anything like that before but thought it would be an easy thing to do. Little did I know that the piston rings had to be squeezed in order to get the cylinder on. We started to bang on the cylinder with a big hammer since it wouldn't slide over, the piston broke and parts of it fell down into the engine. We manage to get most of it out but when we finally got it together with a new piston it just wouldn't run nice and smoothly. He sold it some time later and his parents bought him a brand new Aerox, his mother looked at me when I came over to inspect it and said "You two are banned to any tinkering on this one". I felt a bit stupid but it was a good learning experience, I didn't have any problems when I changed the piston and cylinder on my MT |
