I rather believe this is an around 1957 Simca Vedette, not unlikely Vedette Versailes.
Ariane, which was the four cylinder entry model to the French Simca/Ford range, didn't have white wall tires, two colour paint and over riders. And very unlikely wired wheeled hubcaps.
The above car, however, has all of this like this very similar car (the fourth picture from top) http://www.philseed.com/simvedette.html .

Edit: When I said "entry model" I meant to the bigger versions. Of course there were other models as well, like the Aronde.

I think, this one is a Versailles
For information, there was an Ariane model with the V8 engine called "Ariane 8" !!!
