Mitsubishi PX33,but not the original of '30s,that's was a replica realized by Sonauto(French Mitsubishi and Yamaha Importer)to enter with it at Paris-Dakar of end of Eighties-early Nineties;seems was powered with a turbo-diesel engine and 4 WD gears shared by Pajero car

I actually own this race car now and I am very interested in everything there is about this car.
By the way, the original was indeed powered by a diesel engine, but the replica used for a couple of Dakar rally's and some other CCR's is powered by the 2.6 ltr, 4 cyl turbo petrol engine froma Starion. It still runs fine and I'm now competing in the Dutch National Championships Off Road Racing with it.
So if you have anything you can share with me about this unique car, please let me know.

Very interesting information at the following link : https://www.facebook.com/groups/189393017844614/permalink/6183897681727421

The first rally-raid PX33 replica was built in 1988 by french company SBM in order to take part in the 1989 Dakar. What the link doesn't mention is that the registration number is from 1987, so I guess they used an existing Pajero and rebodied it.

Another french company called Faster would then build another PX33 in 1989, based on the SBM toolings, to take part in the 1990 Dakar. Again, the reg. number is older than the car, this time from 1988. This is the car that we see here in this entry. Sould I enter it as 1988, year of the donor Pajero, or 1989, when it was transformed and rebodied as a PX33 ?
