The original, an aluminum body built in '28 by Detroit coachbuilder Griswold and placed on a '29 Auburn 8-90 chassis with an 8-120 motor, debuted at the 1929 New York Auto Show and was destroyed in the ill-fated Los Angeles Auto Show later that year. This version was commissioned in 1983 by Dr. Peter C. Kesling of LaPorte, Indiana, after the original blueprints resurfaced. The body is aluminum, the frame ash, and the chassis is reported to be the original 8-90. It has a 115hp eight cylinder of unspecified origin. -- Last edit: 2012-03-08 14:40:07 |
