Ford Focus. US version, probably with unoriginal rear lights.

Or perhaps the animator changed the lights for some reason. (The film is animation drawn over live action footage.)

I agree here with both of you.

If you look with attention, the rear lights are on correct position...

and of the good color. The US focus is not made in Deutschland, it's made in Mexico

It is originating from Germany, as it is a model from Ford Europe.

Yeah, it's built for America and made to American safety and emission specs, but the original design is European.

A lot of the European Fords are listed as being from Germany, is this completely accurate? I've always thought of Ford in Europe as a English brand, I'm really thinking of the classic Fords like the Zephyr, the Anglia and the Popular, weren't they British? In Britain Fords (and Vauxhalls which are of course rebaged German Opels) are seen to be inferior to BMWs, Mercs and Audis, lots of people desire BMW 3-series over Mondeos because they have the oh-so-prestigious "German Engineering". But on this site Fords built from the mid-80s onwards are actually German? Well you can't really argue that BMWs and Mercs aren't of a higher quality than Fords and Vauxhalls (the Scorpio and Omega were no match for the 5-series and E-Class but they were cheaper), but is there really something to this idea of superior German engineering?

At the time of these Anglia, Zephyr, etc., there were also German models, completely different. And do not forget the French Ford: Comète, Vedette, etc.
Now Ford Europe headquarters is located in Germany, and so the make is often considered as German. I could label them as "Europe" rather than "Germany" if most of people think that it fits better.

Yeah, that'd sound much better IMO.

How do we know this a ZX3 instead a regular Focus? I thought they only sold the sedan version of the Focus in the USA.

No they sold hatchbacks, sedans and wagons in the US. This is a 2000-2004 ZX3

How do you know it's a ZX3, isn't that one of the sporty versions?

I think it is just the number of doors...
From Wikipedia: On 2005 and 2006 models in the US and Canada, the second generation Focus are coded with a 'ZXx' designation. ie ZX3, ZX4, ZX5, ZXW; these designations have been removed from Ford's website and the call-outs deleted from the liftgates/trunklids of 2007 models.

And judging by the headlights, it's the 2000-2003.

No, I believe it was for the entire time the Focus was made in the US. Read this: http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/2000-to-2004-ford-focus.htm
