Amongst the cars in the thumbnails on the cover page for the film appears a 3-litre Bentley with what could be taken for a Vanden Plas open four seater body. The method of mounting the number plate and rear lights on a bracket attached to the spare wheel is typical Bentley and I think that this car could be the Bentley in the thumbnail. |

A number of cars are re-used in the studio set scenes so its likely. Although the last scene is possibly a studio back-lot. Is this the one? If so the windscreen is possibly the same size and proportion. |

I agree with the method of mounting the number plate looks the same as here... http://www.flickr.com/photos/carphotosbyrichard/6281334528/ |

Is this the one? Yes The picture you refer to is a good example, but IIRC before the law changed to require two rear lamps at, or near, the extremities of the car, a single rearlamp/number plate lamp was mounted upon the bracket. -- Last edit: 2012-02-09 18:13:35 |

Thanks, good identification. Another indirect link also with 'The Avengers' TV series which was supposed to have been inspired by the 'Q Planes' movie itself. The movie although very dated, could almost have been taken from an episode of 'The Avengers'. -- Last edit: 2012-02-09 18:23:13 |

I guess that's the Jensen S-type to the right of the Bentley in Sunbar's thumbmail above. 1937(?) Ford 7Y to the left, with a Morris 10 Series II on extreme left. |
