Yes, 28 as Ford Model Y; possibly because not all of them are Dagenham-built and therefore wouldn't be rated as 8 h.p. |

Sorry, this is my fault. The cars were always referred to as "A Ford 8, or "A Ford 10", and the model designations were very rarely used in common parlance. I have sort of reverted to what we would have called them when I was a kid. The RAC rated horsepower of a car was very important to a driver in those days in UK, as it decided what the annual tax would be on the car. |
