The movie was filmed in the USA, and this DOES look like a Datsun 1000, but was the Datsun 1000 ever sold in the USA? I'm just wondering... |

The car you reference is a different model. The main pic is from the PL210 line. The one you show is the predecesor to the Datsun 1200 (Sunny/B10 series).
