Rather not. Here in the 60's are a expensive car (expensive compared to the rest) and nicknamed "boca de pescado". |

Probably, but only for the movie. Yesterday, in my city (Rosario) i can see two Valiant's and one Rambler in a wedding, in excellent condition. |

@Gomsel: maybe mike962 has mixed up this Rambler with the similar looking Chrysler Valiant In the last edition of the http://www.oldtimer-markt.de/ , which includes a story about Dave Walden http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=6156475 and http://www.moparaction.com/Article/NEW_GOLD/NEW_GOLD.html There is was writen, that in the USA the Valiant has a reputation as a looser's car, also caused by the lousy quality, it was made with. |

Here you usually see adds for american cars and at the bottom the seller writes "Willing to trade for another american car except Valiant or AMC" |

Plot device? Does this car blow up/go up in flames? Overfilled tank and a knackered seal, at least it's not Diesel, been on my arse more than once because of fuel spills. |

no plot device at all, more like goof or something the car survives intact it only got a few shots driving over some bumps interior some more extreme driving , if AMC did commercials like this they would have sold a lot more -- Last edit: 2019-03-29 21:29:58 |

This is probably the same gold Rambler that appeared as a beater in numerous productions in the 1990s and 2000s. It has distinctive "dog dish" hubcaps and several trim pieces missing, and a notable dent in the right upper side of the grille that never goes away. /vehicle_39021-Rambler-Classic-1963.html /vehicle_11396-Rambler-Classic-1963.html /vehicle_147914-Rambler-Classic-1963.html /vehicle_914599-Rambler-Classic-1963.html /vehicle_380523-Rambler-Classic-1963.html /vehicle_382570-Rambler-Classic-1963.html /vehicle_314780-Rambler-Classic-1963.html /vehicle_146742-Rambler-Classic-1963.html /vehicle_1053348-Rambler-Classic-1963.html /vehicle_185773-Rambler-Classic-1963.html /vehicle_107363-Rambler-Classic-1963.html /vehicle_794721-Rambler-Classic-1963.html /vehicle_468038-Rambler-Classic-1963.html /vehicle_253196-Rambler-Classic-1963.html /vehicle_339012-Rambler-Classic-1963.html It's had numerous wrecked/smash/burned doubles over the years, but at least one is still operational and still loaned out by Cinema Vehicle Services. |
