I remember seeing this go up on Barrett-Jackson's auction. Think it only went for $25k....i'd love to have bought that.

They were sold in the US as Station Wagon, Deluxe Bus or Deluxe Station Bus. It changed through the years. I guess Deluxe Bus is a common designation for this version usually known as "Samba".

A.K.A "Sunroof DeLuxe Station Wagon". The rear corner windows were lost MY 1964 when they got a larger rear door. This could be a 1964-1967.

I have tried to find the original text but remember the side markers followed the calendar years 1968 and 1970. Your domestic models used the model year for the changes.

I suppose the same was the case here, and this non-US car was sold in 1966. Or they were later just deleted.

Anyway a confirmed 1967 as mentioned by stevil101 and myself above, and as shown in text and pictures in the link above
