Has a Dutch numberplate because this bit was filmed in Holland, the CTS wasn't officially available in the UK at that time. Yet they managed to bring it back to Top Gear studio afterwards. Hammond praises the Cadillac, saying it's not just a good American car, but a good car in general (he also makes lots of comments about how Cadillac owners used to be a load of geriatrics and that normally American cars can't handle corners), but in the studio post-mortem Clarkson won't have it, "Cadillacs are for pimps and pensioners and that's the end of it!", then he goes on to say he doesn't like American cars to which Hammond responds "that's such an over-sweeping thing to say, it's just stupid!" -- Last edit: 2008-03-13 20:04:21 |

I saw one of these [4 years old, pretty low mileage and an official RHD import version] for sale for just over £5,000. £30,000 lost in 5 years. Burning money would come cheaper. |

Seems to be a good offer, the others are more expensive: Link to "suchen.mobile.de" Have you thought about it? |

There's actually quite a few going for less than £6K on the UK sites. I was looking as a friend is after a cheap luxury car. I also found him an MG ZT with the V8 engine and a couple of Audi S8s along with the obvious Jag, Merc and BMW options. Gas guzzlers do not keep their value well here. |
