HSV stands for Holden Special Vehicles ... nothing to do with a German football club It is a joint venture between Holden and TWR. The GTO is part of the Z-Series which was released in October 2004. |

HSV hasnt had much to do with TWR for quite some time now (15+ years). The GTO coupe was actually first released during the VX range and was avaliable in 2 versions. the GTO coupe and the faster GTS coupe. the car has basically remained the same during the VY/VZ releases and was dropped from the range at the release of the VE range (after VZ). The GTO/GTS is based off the Holden Monaro (what the new pontiac GTO is based off). the GTO ran a 260kw engine in the VX range, 285kw in the VY range, 297kw in the VZ range. the GTS ran a 300kw engine from VX-VZ. |

This was originally listed as 2004 [VZ] which is incorrect. This episode aired December 2003, but the VZ did not go on sale until October 2004 (also, the VZ had bonnet scoops, which this car does not have). This is a 2003+ [V2] HSV "Coupe GTO" (according to the HSV website, the name changed to "GTO Coupe" in 2004). It's a "Series II" due to having the new interior from the VY Commodore. Series I (2002) models had the interior from the VX Commodore. Interior shot from episode confirms this: The episode can be seen here: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xu8m2e_top-gear-u-k-s03e06_auto We can see that it's a GTO and not a GTS. -- Last edit: 2014-07-14 00:37:44 |

Nothing found for PA02XAJ - not sure it was a genuine combination. RA02XAJ was a silver 2002 Sierra LX. |
