This is an Invicta Custom (this model had a fancier interior and can be identified by the larger badges on it's front fenders showing "Custom" in the bright part of the badge instead of a small Tri-Shield emblem). Invicta Custom coupes had bucket seats and hardtop sedans had leather seats with fold down armrests.

This picture shows the regular Invicta badge

Did you know I saw a '61 Invicta sedan at a scrap yard recently.

The thing looked like it could've been restored.

Can't you ask a fellow, if he may can save it?

If I knew somebody who wanted one, I would've told them about the customer. That wouldn't guarantee they'd keep it around.

This scene has Bob Hope and Bing Crosby in a theatre in Hong Kong trying to escape some goons who are after them. Backstage, their friend Dorothy Lamour hands them the keys to her car. She says, "It's a tan Buick. Parked right outside." Hope and Crosby are "disguised" as women running out the stage door of the theatre and to Dorothy Lamour's car to escape the baddies (led by Walter Gotell a.k.a. "General Gogol" in the James Bond films). As they scramble to the car in drag, all the Hong Kong locals are laughing at them. As Hope gets into the passenger seat, he yells to them, "What's the matter? Haven't you all seen a Buick before?" Considering the prominence and number of 1961 Buicks in this film shot at Pinewood Studios in the UK and with second unit footage in Hong Kong, along with Buick being a Hope sponsor at one time, it's rather safe to assume that it is product placement.

That’s a very odd interpretation of “tan”. My boat shoes are tan, it’s a sort of light brown, my elastic sided boots are dark brown for casual wear and black for evenings. I would not be seen out wearing shoes the colour of that Buick, tan or not.
