this is a bit weird.. according to most fan sites - this one should be XJ-S, but on the car is XJS... |

Maybe "XJ-S" was not on the car itself but just in official/commercial documents? Or that the "-" is very small (it could be between the J and the S on that picture...) -- Last edit: 2006-08-12 19:15:21 |

From the introduction in 1975 the Mk.I and Mk.II models were called XJ-S, the Mk.III (1991-96) renamed to XJS. This one looks like a 3.6-litre, a six cylinder engined version which was introduced in 1983 and only avalable as Mk.II. http://classiccarfair.com/1985jaguarxjs36_rear_402x301.jpg |
