It is a short sized van, I'd say rather an AZU than an AK |

I knew that in 1968 Citroen will split 2CV vans in two distinct types, the AK and the AKS,differing by loading weight rates, both based on the 1966 2 CV and they were listed until was available in 1975 the AK 400,with squared headlights and 602 cc.;so I believe that it could be a 1968 2CV AK or AKS(almost strange in 1965 locations)at which was adapted the 1961 2CV grille(saw as grille seems damaged, maybe due at bad adaptation on a 1966 2 CV bonnet, that as was known, had a 3-horizontal-barred grille, without Citroen's "Double Chevron"inside) |

A l'envers. -- Last edit: 2006-10-05 23:04:34 |

The combination of new bonnet and old doors was built from July 1961 till December 1964. In January 1964 the roof over the cabin got some profile to get more rigid. So this would be a 1962/63 model. But since the bonnet here has got the central strip à la AZL/AZAM I agree it's probably not original. Rear side windows and strange indicators (and no indicators on the side) might point to non-French origin... |
