1964, for sure, but I have to check name, I think it is the Pracinha brand name. The car was similar to Caiçara, but for some reason they have changed the name.

They were together with VW Pé de Boi, Renault Teimoso, Simca (Alvorada or Professional)an effort of the authorities to make cheaper the cars, with special financement rates by Caixa Econômica Federal. I will trace exact names befor 2012.

I have to apologise. The popular DKW in 1964 was named Caiçara 1001. I found an advertisement of July 64 with the whole line and "Caiçara 1001" was due to new front doors opening. Now I found a Owner's handbook still for 64, stating Pracinha as the popular car. The sole difference I found was the hubcaps, in Caiçara they were chrommed and in Pracinha painted black.

As the car in the photo shows no hubcaps we cannot say which one is.

Now I am sure that Vemag changed the name in 64, maybe because of financement rules.

Solved. The owner book for Pracinha was issued after june 65 with some photos from '64 cars. The only popular DKW in 64 was Caiçara. So that this is a 1964 DKW-Vemag Caiçara 1001.
