The vehicle details for P551 LLW are: Date of Liability 08 07 2008 Date of First Registration 30 10 1996 Year of Manufacture 1996 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1498cc Fuel Type PETROL Vehicle Colour GREEN http://uk.cars.yahoo.com/08062011/36/most-stupid-movie-cars-0.html Car: Daewoo Nexia Movie: Mike Bassett: England Manager, 2001 Famous for: Being a Vauxhall Astra, and being the rubbish company car of the England manager. One of the best ever British-based movie car gags (perhaps the only British-based movie car gag, come to think of it) has to be the Daewoo/Vauxhall/Opel setup from Mike Basset: England Manager. Mike, the shock England boss appointment, finds that his old assistant, Lonnie Urquart, has become a dodgy used car salesman, who will only be lured back into football if Mike buys a Daewoo from him. That's fine, because, of course, it's “a re-badged Vauxhall Astra.” Sure enough, it promptly breaks down in plumes of smoke. The brand-based japery continues when Lonnie is given a foreign rental car during the world cup: “I asked for a Vauxhall Omega and they gave me this, an Opel! I mean, what's an Opel when it's at home?” |

The Astra MK2/Kadett E is one of my most favourite cars (yeah I know ha ha) so at least the Nexia has the same shape, that I like. |
