The car is well known in RR circles in the USA but I have forgotten the details or where to find them. But do remember it to be a "RR 20/25 HP" with Landaulet coachwork |

This a 1939 Wraith, chassis #WMB66 with Windovers landaulette body. |

I am 100% certain this is Wraith WMB66 because I have another identified photo sent by a RROC friend, the front shot shows the horizontal headlamp brackets which are particular to the Wraith. In any case it can 't be a 20/25 because it has 25/30-Wraith bumpers, a thin 3 spoke steering wheel and very small wheels (17in instead of 19in or 20in). Yes this is a Rolls Royce !939 Laudaulet my grandad had it shipped over from England around 1965, she is a beautiful car and we still own her. Many memories of hanging around all the shoots with my grandad. and BESS RR was short for my nannny Elizabeth, whom which i was named after..... |
