Looks made for movie. However, the front wheels suggest a Volkswagen Thing. |

Yeah, I was gonna say this buggy was built off a VW Chassis. What model it is, I have no idea. |

Like I said, most likely a Thing. The front wheels are the same style as used on the Thing. |

It looks to me the center of the front wheels aligns with the space between the two arms at the end of each front torsion bar. VW Things stand higher 2 1/2 inches offcentered than beetles. The upper end of the front shocks are bolted to the side instead of to the top, this makes it a pre 1968 Beetle or Karmann Ghia. |
