Fleetwood DeVille, 1988

Whatever model it was to start with (Fleetwood or De Ville), it has been mildly customized with a special "pimpmobile" grille cap, sun roof and Conti kit.

I dont think Cadillac offered composite headlights in 1988,

Actually, if you really look at the pics you can see its an early '80s Fleetwood Coupe with composite headlights and bodyside moldings off a '90-'92 Brougham. Nice looking car IMO.

This car is definately NOT a 1980. It appears to be at least a 1990 model. The composite headlamps and the wide, body colored front bumper rub strips give it away.

Custom stretched limousine on Cadillac chassis by independent coach builder. The base car may have been a Fleetwood model but "Fleetwood" did NOT sign the conversion so it really is a misnomer to call it a "Cadillac Fleetwood".

:??: It is a coupé, not a stretched limousine

It's an early '80s coupe with a '90 front end swap. Those lowrider guys just like to swap those front ends for some odd reason. I really hate the composite headlights on those style Cadillacs.

As I said, it was originally a 1980-1984 Fleetwood Brougham Coupe, an should be listed as such. I am 100% sure about this. Even if it has been modified.

I like the 4 headlights too.

The hood, roof, front and rear fenders, and tail lights look more like a 1980-1982 Fleetwood Brougham Sedan (not stretched or modified), which was available with the same factory sunroof as seen in the movie. The front grill, Also looks like 1980-1982 Brougham Sedan, but the headlights and likely front fender fascia have been changed, if not the entire front end (I am uncertain as to which, as I can't quite remember the exact look of the center grill that was on my 1980 I once had). Keep in mind that in 1986, all domestic car manufacturers started toward the trend of rounding corners, and phasing out the sharp lines of the square bodied cars of the '80s. In 1985, the Fleetwood tail light inserts became smaller than previous models and with rounded corners, and in 1986, the taillights were at a noticeably different forward slant, as opposed to the more vertical, almost 90 degrees of the models between 1980-1984. I do not recall seeing in the movie if the rear windows had a sort of pillar separating the quarter windows (behind the doors) or not, but if there were, then it was also likely the slightly longer "Model-75" or "Model-76" Brougham package.

It’s a Fleetwood Brougham coupe, which were cosmetically identical from 1980-1985. And yes, they did make a Fleetwood Brougham coupe in 1985. It has been cosmetically updated to a 2 door version of a 1990-1992 Fleetwood Brougham by swapping out the fenders, bumpers, header panel, headlights, front fillers, trunk lid, taillights, and customized side cladding made to fit a 2 door had to be made from the 4 door side cladding. It has a castle grille, looks like it’s made by Alpha but I’m not an expert in those, and it has an E&G continental kit with a wire wheel installed where the hubcap typically goes. The sunroof may or may not be factory, I’m not an expert on those either but I know the sunroof was an option on the Fleetwood Brougham coupe.

I own one identical except for the color of the paint and mine doesn’t have a sunroof
