Thanks. My usual supplier seems to have had problems finding any for several weeks. Slightly unusual but genuine colour. |

Don't worry, soon I will watch Italian movies from the 70s and 80s again! |

I've never understood what the emoticon means. |

@electra225: You said "It lost the side trim". That should be correct, but I wouldn't be surprised if they simply forgot to put it on at the factory. 1977 was quite a year for the BL-group... |

I use it as thumbs up with a big smile, to radiate joy and happiness (and to encourage everyone to find more Italian-based Mini Clubman Estates). |

I'm using it to show a considered opinion. |

Do you want to provoke a second Crown Victoria-situation here? You already have provoked me to make a pic of one: Link to "forum.imcdb.org" -- Last edit: 2011-11-02 00:20:34 |

No - not a new Crown Vic situation, but a bigger better vision - replace the Crown Vic at the top of the charts. Unfortunately I don't think Imps, Minxes or Maserati Ghiblis can do it, but Italian-based Mini Clubman Estates could stand a chance. Are you with me, comrades? And thanks for the forum pic - it looks cute in those colours and neat alloys. |

It was for sale. For 7980 € IIRC. |

The colour looks like inca yellow to me |

@cortina.chris: Indeed! I just found this nice BL advert from 1978 which confirms that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSdNZLsR6jA&feature=related It even includes the epic BL-tune at the end of the clip. |

@cl82, great mini ad, not seen that one before the only BL ad i can remember is for the 'S' reg specials (comin' down the line.) , my two clubmEn were snapdragon yellow and cinnabar red. |

I'm glad you liked it. Be sure to watch the first part of it, too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rt3axkFoXHQ&feature=related Besides, it's really strange that the BL-adverts from that time breath so much optimism and allure such a happy atmosphere while the company itself was already in a hairy situation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdnviN_S8V8&NR=1 |

Good to see Raymond Baxter again - he presented all the early BBC motoring programmes including Wheelbase (ancestor of Top Gear) and so much more - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoGd0T-GUWs . -- Last edit: 2011-11-02 14:41:55 |
