Leyland or Ldv?

LDV was post-1994.

Could be a Freight-Rover too though.

I tend to think this is an ex-Royal Mail van as its basically red with sliding cab doors, generally slam doors were more recently used.

A high-roofed Freight Rover 300 or Leyland DAF 400.

edit: Looking at the rear panel there appear to be sign mounting clips used for detachable posters on Royal Mail vans as here...

If it was the 1988 Leyland DAF 400 it would only be a maximum 4 years old. I'm guessing Royal Mail vans were disposed of about this time or later so Freight Rover is considerably more likely.

This van has probably gone to the scrapyard long ago.

Maybe. Another user was Parcelforce (the parcels arm of Royal Mail); in 1999 I saw one of their castoffs in Skopje, Macedonia, with local plates but still in full Parcelforce livery.
