These are part of a CCC order NYCDOS made around the early 1990s (these only operated in Manhattan and the Bronx I think.) |

This truck is a Ottawa (no relation to the Ottawa terminal tractor Mfg.). The model was called a Rouge. These were made in the late 1980's before Ottawa was purchased by Oshkosh, the cab design later was sold to Mack and then became the LE model. The DSNY trucks were ordered with the headlights raised so they wouldn't be blocked by the larger bumper/ snow plow mount's that the DSNY trucks were equipped with.
