A few strange vehicles are shown during the main titles.....

Me suis d'abord demandé si c'était pas une Peraves Turbo-Eco. Mais la forme du cockpit ne colle pas. Peut-être un ancien modèle? http://www.peraves.ch/turbo.htm

If you read the specifications the manufacturer is Owosso Motor Car Company or OMCC and model was either Litestar or Pulse. I would suggest this one is a Pulse.
From http://www.autocycles.org/specs.html -
"There were about 347 of these made between 1985 and 1990 in Owosso Michigan by the Owosso Motor Car Company. The first 21 were called Litestars and then the name changed to Pulse. A Pulse is a motorcycle. It rides on 2 main wheels and has 2 outrigger wheels (one on each side). It is classified in most states as a 3 wheel motorcycle. It has a 123" wheelbase and an overall length of 192" X 76" width X 54" height and weighs about 1000 lbs.
The factory closed in 1990 and no parts are available from OMCC."

Reading Valiant's comment I would have said the name should be 'Owosso Pulse' or 'OMCC Pulse', not 'Litestar Pulse'. And the class should be 'Bikes, Road'.

It looks like the cockpit of a glider.

I'm sorry to correct all of you but I have lived in owosso, michigan for many years. There are not two models. The model is indeed the "Litestar Pulse" And holds the claim of the only car in the future scenes of Back to the Future II to appear in original, unmodified condition. They had a special premier of the movie in Owosso for that reason. Avid car collector Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger also owns one of these unique vehicles.

Respectfully, but contrary to the posting by soldier_higgins87, there *are* differences between the LiteStar and the Pulse, albiet small ones (see here http://www.autocycles.org/compare.html).

The history is that the first (proto-type) unit was designed by James Bede who also designed the "BD-5J", an *ancestor* of the Pulse which held the Guinness record for the World's Smallest Jet for more than 25 years. The prototype unit was named the "BD-200" and was classified as an "autocycle" because it bridged the gap between automobile and motorcycle.

The next 21 units to be manufactured were all "Litestar" models. The name came from Bede's partner Stan Litener.

The remaining units were "Pulse" models and most were built by Owasso Motor Car Company but the last 100 or so were built by Ed Butcher in his barn after OMCC closed operations. There was an expose` by a former employee which outlined the details of why the company shut down (production issues basically) but it seems to no longer be online.

In total there were about 360 units produced. For details see http://www.autocycles.org/rose.html

PS: The 2 most famous Pulse vehicles were the one used in "Back To The Future II" and the Coors "Silver Bullet" (actually Coors bought both a Pulse and a BD-5J aircraft BD-5J aircrtaft . Scroll down a little on the jet, the Silver Bullet is below the Bud jet.).
