Marevalo ◊ 2012-03-25 01:37	I'm from El Salvador, and [regretfully] owned one back in 1997; and the registration tittle stated that the car was a Chevrolet Monza, although it was marketed plainly as the Chevy Monza.

I have (on my ipad) plate checks of both badged models (Chevy/Monza) and both models come back on Mexico’s plate check as ‘Chevrolet Monza’. The years I found plates for are 1999-2001. I will post my findings when I get back from a bbq. Seems we need to change the Mexican Sedans from 1998-2003 to Monza as that is what the plate checks are pulling. Once I post the plate checks we can see what to do. We always go off official plate check sources.

dhill_cb7 ◊ 2020-07-19 18:07	Had a tad too much fun but we survived. Now to post the evidence the Chevrolet Sedan badged as a Chevy or Monza. We originally thought the Sedan was labeled Chevrolet Chevy. However, running plates that were found on for sale auctions has netted us with the model name. I found both badged versions and ran the plates. 1998-2001 is what I have. It covers the (earliest sedan I can find is 1998) 1998-1999 and 2000-2001 sedan models. Now to post up the proof. 1998: 1999: 2000: 2001: As you can see by plate checks all have come back with the Monza name for this 1998-2001 range. I would need to pull 2002-2003 plates to confirm those years were the same.

I ran more plates from Mexican Monza/Chevy. Indeed the Sedan, from 1998-2003 was Monza. We need antp to add ABCD format to the Monza name now
