Chrome strip under the C-pillar and no rear door quarterlight, so it is 4-cylinder 190 [W121] or 6-cylinder 219 [W105]. The [W128] (220 SE) always had a rear door quarterlight and extra chrome strips on the rear fender. |

Looks like one they found in a junkyard. Such a shame it's in this poor condition. |

You can see the random vines wrapped around the rear roof column. I guess they dragged it out from somewhere nearby. In the case of Chernobyl, the cars are better off destroyed, no matter what or how rare they are. Nobody wants a car full of radiation. It will always have radiation in it no matter how much you drench it. |

OMG. How do you think, how much rare cars were in Chernobyl? -- Last edit: 2012-05-23 10:59:32 |

Not to mention, that anyone wants a something from a truck, "full of radiation", as contaminated firetrucks lost heir engines long time ago... |

Unless Soviet nuclear engineers were all classic car freaks, there probably weren't any interesting cars in Chernobyl. Anyway, this scene was probably filmed in Detroit or Chicago. In the US, it's actually easier to drag a fifty year old Mercedes out of a field than get a Lada. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1399103/locations -- Last edit: 2012-05-23 11:17:44 |
