Yes, 1955 was the first year they were sold as a seperate make. I believe that lasted until 1969? Before and after it was sold as the "Chrysler Imperial" or "Imperial by Chrysler." |

Last year for Imperial as a separate make was 1975. According to Wikipedia, Imperial was a separate brand again from 1981-1983, but some sources apparently disagree and most of those on this site are listed as "Chrysler Imperial." This may not be the place for this debate, but there's only one listed as a "1981 Imperial": /vehicle_16402-Imperial-1981.html and the rest are listed as "Chrysler Imperial": /vehicle_73113-Chrysler-Imperial-1981.html Which is it really? |
