![]() Scene of a film in which Jim Morrison had played a role. I wonder if it is a genuine German built or rather a south-american built version? The bumper doesn't match with Brazilian DKW-Vemag Vemaguet though... Argentinian? ...or German? |

German ones were imported to the US. |

This is a 1001 Vemaguet 1964. Please see http://walter-autosantigos.blogspot.com/p/vemaguete.html There are many particulars only used in Brazil at the same time, such as the wheels, the front wheel cover, the front door opening, the horizontal tail light and even the badge Vemaguet 1001 placed correctly in the rear gate. The 1964 bumper was narrow like this one, and in 65/66 it became stronger with similar blocks. The large chrommed strip all around was common to 64-66. Only the bumber block seems not original. -- Last edit: 2011-09-19 13:40:39 |

Thank's Bod Dieck... I was willing to post it as DKW-Vemag Vemaguet , but the bumper puzzled me a bit. By the way, it was said that Jim Morrison played in some movies (porn, and others) in his early carreer and if I remember (but I've watched at this DVD a long time ago) some were in South-America, so the hypothesis of brazilian car in this picture is reliable. |
