Almost certainly a kit car but I'm not sure what at the moment. My first thought was Dutton but nothing from them matches. I'm on the case but I guess it might be something Dutch as it seems to be a location there rather than the UK. By the shape of the soft top it is a four seater. |

There was a Dutch Lotus 7 type called Donkervoort - built in significant numbers I think. |

Founded in 1978 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donkervoort - so this could be one of theirs. |

Even though this is in Amsterdam (not on Herengracht, where cars are parked diagonally, but on one of the narrower radial canals) the car has a white license plate that looks quite German to me. Also I'd say that Donkervoorts were more serious than this. |

In "Autokatalog 1983" I found this Beetle-based Bieber Speedster (the right one in the pic). In "Autokatalog 1981" it was not yet mentioned (I don't have the 1982 issue). |
