2000 was the only year this generation of Escalade had the "barn doors." Is this also true of the Denali? |

Truck_Guy is this statement true? I have yet to investigate this? I can't imagine this not being available when barn doors were produced way earlier by GM. [GMT430] chassis if this is truly the GMC version. Caddy version is [GMT435]. |

there is at least one 1999 to have them there is a bunch of them here but no Escalade, maybe that's where the confusion starts ( Escalade seems to either have it for 2000 or it wasn't a popular option at Cadillac in 1999 ) of course they might be regular Yukon modified to look like a Denali but i think too many people had the idea... ( and i checked the GTCarlot one at Carfax and came back as Denali ) -- Last edit: 2019-05-09 16:47:23 |

Every '99 Escalade I've come across on GTCarlot, Cars.com and AutoTrader has had the liftgate/liftglass, so it would appear his statement is true for the Escalade. As @Baube has said, the Denali appears to have had barn doors as an option for '99. I wish the GM Heritage Center had a press kit available for the '99 Escalade and Yukon Denali so we could confirm with 100% certainty. |

@Truck_Guy. I pulled both brochures and the barn doors first appear in the 2000 but I don't think the version I am looking at on ebay has all the pages listed. I did find a 1999 full brochure and there is no mention of the barn doors. Maybe his statement is correct and we need to check the few 1999-2000s we have (maybe 15)? |
