-- Last edit: 2008-02-28 17:47:42 |

Sorry, it's a Dodge Viper, not a Chrysler. Yes, Dodge is usually unknown in Europe, but in the last years Chrysler tried to bring Dodge-cars on the market (the German market, I don't know, how it's in other european countries). Anyways, the Viper was only sold as a Dodge in Germany. The Dodge Ram, too. @atom: about plates again: this car had HH-P 5 in the movie. The plate is in the collection of a collector's friend. |

Is it something special about it (other then being in a movie)? It's for Hamburg? |

Yes, HH is for Hamburg. No, it's nothing special about this plate, just one of the many faked plates, visible in several TV-films and movies. Not only the Cobra 11/Autobahnraser etc.-makers are using faked plates, finally all other production-companies, too. As we have talked about, ca.90% of plates, visible in German movies, are fakes. This one is a real exception -especially for Cobra 11- /vehicle_225187-Audi-80-Typ-81-1978.html Some collectors likes to have some of these movie-plates in their collection, others (like me) only accepts authentic originals. Except the fact, that I'm a real hardcore-original-freak (for plates AND for K 70-stuff ), you must admit, that many made-for-movie-plates are causing pain, when you take a look on them. -- Last edit: 2009-10-09 22:39:17 |

But that what makes them interesting, there is probably nothing like it (since it's fake). |

It's the point of view of the collector. Everyone has his own preferences (just "plates worldwide" is senseless). As I've wrote a time ago in the forum, this April I've found randomly the "Holy Grail", the "Bernsteinzimmer" for collectors of German plates
, a plate, where less than 10 persons have known, that this version has existed at all, a version, of which during 50 years only 3 pictures were known (not too forget: the price, I've paid for it, made, that it was finally the most expensivest German plate in history, too) - and other collectors, wich aren't interested in German plates, had no idea about its rarity. The plate-collector-scene is quite small, but it's not homogene anyways... -- Last edit: 2009-10-09 23:01:24 |

I think it deserves 3 stars. It's chased by Ford and Porsche. and something that maybe could be interesting in discussion about make: -- Last edit: 2012-02-24 15:27:49 |
