I could be wrong, but I don't think this is a 1980 Jeep CJ7. I own one of those and researched it quite extensively so as to try and restore it as historically correct as possible and the Renegade decals of that model are different. The ones on this Jeep were used in 1983 and 1984. The Renegade decals of the 1982 model are very similar but there doesn't seem to be a sticker on top of this Jeep's hood and because of that I don't think this is a 1982 model, but a 1983 or 1984. Also, AMC only used teal and navy blue for their 1980 models and Hawke's Jeep looks to be slate blue, which was used in 1982, 1983 and 1984. Since this episode aired in 1984, I am inclined to believe this to be a 1983 Jeep CJ7 Renegade. |
