My guess would be a 4/4 four-seater, 1948-50. Comments? |

4/4 was definitely my first thought too. |

I think that style of radiator did not appear until the early 1950s. |

I think late 50s/early 60s radiator. Has late 60s onwards front indicators, but not sure they look correct - later update?? |

There is something odd about this one; it is on disc - not wire - wheels which might suggest an earlier date, and the front wheels stick out a long way from the front gueards. |

It is a Plus Four four-seater, made between 1954 and 1957. The curved grille (stoneguard) first appeared in 1954 models. The fold-down windshield was discontinued by the factory in 1957. (There is a popular after-market adapter to convert solid windshield to fold-down, but the after-market product looks different from the original product in this picture.) This car is a Plus 4 (Triumph engine) rather than a 4/4 (Ford engine: During the 1950s the 4/4 was only available as a 2-seater, so this 4-seater must be a Plus 4. Also, during the Fifties the 4/4s did not have the two rows of louvres on top of the bonnet, which this car does. |
