1989-2001 3800 with a Ward body. I used to ride something like this, but it had a Blue Bird body instead. |

1990 International 3000-series with a Ward Volunteer body. On Laidlaw buses the first two digits of the fleet number were the last two digits of the year, so 902410 means 2,410th bus purchased for 1990. |

Yes, but Wikipedia lists them as 3800 models. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_3800 |

The 3000-series 3700/3800 actually went to 2005 for the bus chassis version. After International bought Ward/AmTran, they moved the body assembly to their factory so the buses could be built together in one piece, instead of separate body and chassis like before, and for 2001-2004, International offered the CE series bus which was based on the 89-01 3000-series but with the grille from the new '02 DuraStar, that was built together in one pierce, and they still offered the old regular 3000-series chassis for buses only, from 2002-2005, for other body manufacturers to purchase and put their own body on it as was usually done prior. The CE bus was updated to be based on the new DuraStar trucks for 2005, and also got an updated body to with it, and the regular 3000-series bus chassis was also replaced with the new DuraStar based SBCV for 2005-2006, after that International/IC discontinued it as it was no longer profitable as the only purchaser was Blue Bird, which was one of their main competitors. |

We list them as 3000-series because the 1989-1993 ones don't have a badge on the outside saying if it's a 3700 or 3800, and they look identical from the outside. Starting in 1994 it has the model number on the cowl and also the engine model. The 3400 and 3600 buses are distinct from the 3700 and 3800 so those we can always list as what model they are. |
