The truck says "Millbrook" if that's anything. |

American Body Company Step Van --> /vehicle.php?id=131584 This one has different grill, but exactly same body. Probably older (pre 1955) version. |

This was a very common truck in Southern California made by the American Body Works company out of Lynwood, used by a lot of the local bakeries like Weber's/Millbrook, Langendorf/Barbara Ann, French American, Four-S, all with Chevrolet/GM chassis/Engines, Oroweat used a few that had the ford front end with the 55 grille. The Chevrolet/GM one's were all fiberglass, save for the frame ribs, bread rails, sliding side door, and rear doors. The one Jale linked to was much older and had aluminum sided bodies, smaller windows, and the grille slats from a Dodge truck. You'd be surprised, but that one you see there could be anywhere between a 1961-through maybe 66, after that the grille became smaller. Trust me, I grew up around those trucks. |

The name Millbrook was a regional brand of the now defunct Interstate Brands Corporation, in Southern California Weber/Millbrook were one in the same, just different decals on the trucks. |
