Here we go again... Well you see, the A2 was presented in November 1999 and was on sale from February 2000 *twirls fingers* and well the thing was I couldn't find any 2000s with a Y VIN, all of them had a 1 instead, so I was wondering... -- Last edit: 2023-12-25 10:46:31 |

No. But you probably guessed I'd say that. Question to bounce back to you - what would it achieve for the greater benefit of mankind if a whole year's production of A2s was airbrushed out of history? VIN data may be mostly very good in many respects, but it's just as corruptible as any other info source when manufacturers choose to misuse it. We live in the real world, and so do our audience out there. I know diddly squat about A2 coding but would guess we should regard 1 coding as covering 2000-01 real world production - if Audi couldn't be arsed to differentiate them, why should we?? |
