Wow! Just about all the identifying trim is gone. Appears to have the shorter front clip so I would say this is a Champion. It also appears to have the front fender top ridges characteristic of the Champion line. Starlight coupe, of course. If that's a stock front bumper I see, it is non-wrapped taking 1949 out, but it looks too thin to me to be Studebaker issue. I know the Pickers came across (and bought) another Studebaker. As I recall it was a '50 and in terrible condition. I hope we can get a pix of that one. |

I know the one you're talking about. It's later in Season 1 (maybe even the season finale) and will probably be in my next batch of images. And an expert actually said it was in better condition than you'd think. The only rust was surface rust and a little in the spare tire well. In fact I recall a number of Studebakers in the latter half of Season 1. |

As I remember, when they dragged it out, one of the wheels was frozen and wouldn't turn. Believe the girl (can't recall her name) sold it in a later episode. |
