South African built B140 Nissan 1400 pickup (1971 - 2008) - how did it get to wherever this was filmed!? -- Last edit: 2011-07-18 19:49:45 |

Nissan has a factory in the Philippines - perhaps the B140 was assembled there using parts from South Africa. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Motors#Manufacturing_locations Anyway, you can just about see this one is left hand drive, so I wouldn't count it as "Made for: ZA", -- Last edit: 2011-07-19 01:56:01 |

So probably not "bakkie" either as name? |

I did consider the possibility that this is a B120 Series Sunny truck, as was available in many locations, that was "facelifted" with a grille from the ZA B140 1400 "Bakkie". This one has the low roof, as opposed to the higher roof and longer cab of the 1400 Bakkie by the time it got the grille and lights in the picture. Agree therefore that it should then probably not labeled a 1400 "bakkie" but rather a B120 Sunny Truck. |

Nissan 1200 with that grille was made: * 1990-1994 in Japan (mostly RHD) marketed as "Nissan Sunny Truck" * 1990-1999 in Ecuador (LHD) http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawiki/index.php?title=B120#Ecuador |
