No Stellar? |

AFAIK the Stellar had full-lenght vertical column taillights. The Sonata had the reverse lights placed in the middle of the taillights, on their own. And it appears to have the trim the Sonata had. |

The Stellar always had horizontal rear lights. However, the backup lights (the white portion of the rear lights) were indeed vertical on the Stellar, but became identical to the ones from the Sonata, either in 1987 or in 1988. Here's an ad from 1988 showing different versions of the car, including a specific Stellar 88. http://cfile23.uf.tistory.com/image/16740A0D4BAD904E5E3CE2 Here's a Stellar 88 seen from the rear : https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:20121205_hyundai_stellar_2.jpg But other sources seem to say that those rear lights appeared in 1987. Anyway, here's a Sonata. Notice the full chrome cladding on the top portion of the bumpers, specific to the Sonata : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SONATA_1st_Rear.JPG Which means our car here is a Stellar. -- Last edit: 2016-04-13 06:53:20 |
