Buick Super 4 door touring sedan model 51 of 1940. Many ww II models were imported into Europe and France by US army and diplomatic personnel so it is not unusual to see a war model in postwar France |

En 1941, il ne s'en est pas importé pour certaines raisons: le noir de la carrosserie jurait avec les éclairages black-out, entre autres. Mais dans la période d'après-guerre, tout était possible à qui posait les dollars sur la table... Sans compter les retours des colonies et autres TOM, ou le retour de certaines populations conviées à un séjour à l'étranger (sous peine de devoir sortir d'Auschwitz par la cheminée... ce qui fut le cas de mon grand-père!). Cas fort improbable (une Américaine de 41/42) mais possible, à dose homéopathique, certes! |
