This is a Holden Camira, Holden's version of the GM "J-body" platform.

The Vauxhall Cavalier estate (which had no Opel counterpart) used the same body as the Camira wagon:

Definitely a Holden Camira wagon. The white station wagon in the background is a ford falcon and the black sedan to the right is a Holden Commodore VP

Nah, they were not a nice car! They did win Car Of The Year, but were later derided for being noisy and slow as they were initially fitted in Australia with a 1.6 litre SOHC carburettor engine. Later this was upgraded to a 1.8 and 2.0 SOHC EFI engine, but the damage was done and the GM J-car world car was replaced by the badge-engineered Toyota Camry badged as the Holden Apollo in about 1989ish.

The wagon version of the GM J-car world car was actually designed in Australia by Holden. Any wagon/estate versions of the car utilised Holden panels pressed in Australia, which is a Camira point of interest. Possibly the only one.

Sorry, I made a mistake. Not SLX, should be SL/X.
