It looks like a bit of a mix. The front looks like a Fiat 500, and the rear looks like a Renault Frégate.

Actually this could be a case of art imitating life; it appears that somebody once took the roof and doors from a Renault Floride and put them on to a Dauphine. While not a perfect match, it is surprisingly close: http://kruzin.frenchboard.com/t110-une-dauph-et-un-zest-de-floride

Just think, if its name is "Mama Topolino", it MUST be a Fiat Topolino, aka the "Mickey Mouse Car".

... and all are pointless, because it's only an animated car.

They are pointless, but film fans may want to know so we have to do our best. If we hit a brickwall, it shows our readers that the car is a fantasy. And sometimes the result is an unexpectedly very precise surprise - /vehicle.php?id=373833 - which shows someone was very deliberate and knowledgeable in what they created.

I think maybe we should think about putting some of these "brickwall" cars in comments. In my experience listing them as particular models tends not to end well.

See Link to "www.takefiveaday.com" which someone has put on another page here. The bastard offspring of an NSU Prinz 2 /vehicle_133038-NSU-Prinz-II-1958.html with a 1949ish Studebaker Champion /vehicle_73878-Studebaker-Champion-1949.html and then given a totally irrelevant Italian name. A bit like grafting a hamster's head on to a horse and calling it Flipper. Bloody amateurs.

Well, I just wrote a letter to John Lasseter asking what this car could be (as well as an autograph). I will mail it tomorrow. It says that a 3 month+ wait is expected thou. :/

The detail I'm looking for and not finding in Italian cars is the rear fenders. They remind me a lot of a early 50's Bel Air.

Bear with me for a while.... You're an old lady, a Fiat 500C, wearing a skirt - fender skirts. Not a usual accessory, I guess, but anyhow.
[Image: 1953_fiat_topolino_convertible_for_sale_rear_resize.jpg]

And what do old ladies often do? They get a facelift. Why not then put on the "face" of a 500D? The result is fairly close. It has been done in real life, with other models, like the Typ2/T2c?

Nope. It's not a Fiat and it resembles a Renault Dauphine, but it's actually a Mercedes-Benz Ponton.

I highly doubt that as she's supposed to be a) Italian and b) far too small.

The Dauphine was made in Italy by Alfa Romeo. I don't think it's supposed to be a Dauphine though.

Gamer- Just look at the Ponton. I'm talking about the sedan version though. But about the Italian part, I don't know. Maybe Pontons were made in Italy for a while?
